- 1Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2Mix all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, salt) in a large bowl.
- 3In another bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, hot coffee, and oil.

- 5Pour batter into two greased 9-inch round cake pans.

Ingredients
- 28 g (¼ stick OR 2 tbsp) Butter
- 227 g (15 tbsp ¾ tsp) Heavy Cream
- 340 g (2 cups) Chocolate Chips
Steps
- 1Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
- 2Place chocolate chips and butter in a heatproof bowl.
- 3Pour hot cream over chocolate and butter.
- 4Let sit for 2 minutes without stirring.
- 5Whisk until smooth and glossy.
- 6Let cool to spreading consistency (about 30 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- 7Frost the cooled cake layers and enjoy!
