Per serving
- 250 g (2 cups) All-Purpose Flour
- 50 g (¼ cup) Granulated Sugar
- 10 g (2 tsp) Baking Powder
- 3 g (½ tsp) Coarse Salt
- 1 g (½ tsp) Cinnamon (ground)
- 184 g (¾ cup) Milk
- 50 g (1 Egg) Eggs
- 14 g (⅛ stick OR 1 tbsp) Butter, melted and cooled
- 110 g (1 cup) Diced Apple, peeled and diced
- 872 g (4 cups) Vegetable Oil, for frying
- 180 g (1½ cups) Powdered Sugar
- 31 g (2 tbsp) Milk, for glaze
- 2 g (½ tsp) Vanilla Extract
- 1In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- 2In a separate bowl, beat the egg with ¾ cup milk and the melted butter until smooth.
- 3Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.
- 4Fold in the diced apple pieces until evenly distributed.
- 5Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or heavy pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6Carefully drop heaping spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid crowding. Fry for per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 8While the fritters cool slightly, whisk together the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until a smooth glaze forms.
- 9Dip each warm fritter into the glaze or drizzle the glaze over the top, then set aside on a wire rack for the glaze to set.
- 10Serve warm and enjoy!
