  • 2 g (¼ tsp) Tomato Sauce, 15 ounce each, kirkland brand
  • 15 g (2 tbsp) Cumin, heaping tablespoon
  • 15 g (2 tbsp) Chili Powder, heaping tablespoon
  • 6 g (2¼ tsp) Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt
  • 3 g (1 tsp) Smoked Paprika
  • 439 g (3¾ cups) Kidney Beans, 1 can, drained and rinsed
  • 432 g (3 cups 9 tbsp 1¾ tsp) Black Beans, 1 can drained and rinsed

Steps

  1. 1In a medium Dutch oven over medium-high heat add the olive oil. Add the ground meat and cook, breaking up into pieces, until browned. Add the onions, bell pepper and jalapeno and cook until softened. Drain excess grease.
  2. 2Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt, cayenne, paprika and 1 cup water. Mix to combine.
  3. 3Add the kidney beans and black beans, mix and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 1-2 hours.
